Dr. Maxine Szramka
Maxine graduated with First Class Honours in Medicine and is a dedicated rheumatologist with an interest in Ankylosing Spondylitis and regional musculoskeletal pain. She trained at some of Australia's leading medical institutions, and worked in Tasmania and Victoria before settling in Sydney. Before specialising in rheumatology, she has had experience in many different areas of medicine, including surgery and clinical pharmacology. She is dedicated to providing the best health care possible. Her approach is not solely limited to medications and interventions, but she has a broad understanding of how diet and lifestyle measures can impact upon illness and disease. She enjoys her work in rheumatology, and she is committed to both her profession and her community, serving on national committees for the Australian Rheumatology Association, lecturing medical students, examining for the FRACP specialist exams as well as providing a regional rheumatology service in the Shoalhaven district. She is an excellent presenter with an ability to make complicated things simple and enjoys her work in medical education, lecturing medical students, and providing educational services for both the community and colleagues.
